About David

David Compton was the 2008 President of the Indiana Builders Association (IBA).  As the chief spokesman for housing, he directs the policy development for affordable housing and works for its implementation with the Governor and the Legislature. A graduate of Indiana University, he has nearly 20 years experience in the construction industry in land acquisition and development. In 2006, Governor Daniels appointed him to the Indiana Land Resources Council. In 2014, Compton took the role of President of Beazer Homes Indiana and later the Vice President of Land Acquisition and Development. Today, he serves as the Vice President of Land Acquisition of Pulte Homes, where he is responsible for the acquisition of three of the top five performing communities in Central Indiana.
