EPA’s Lead Renovation, Repair and Painting Rule (RRP Rule) requires that firms performing renovation, repair, and painting projects that disturb lead-based paint in homes, child care facilities and pre-schools built before 1978 have their firm certified by EPA use certified renovators who are trained by EPA-approved training providers and follow lead-safe work practices.
Here is a list of EPA certified renovation firms in Indiana. Note: Renovation firms must apply for recertification every 5 years. The expiration of each firm’s current certification is provided in the far right column of the list.
February 10, 2016 — EPA finalized revisions to the Lead-based Paint program to reduce burden and costs to industry and clarify language for training providers. A key component of the final rule allows on-line training for every other recertification. Renovators who take the online training will be certified for three years; renovators who take the hands-on training will be certified for five years. Read More
